GURINDERS spice blends

Our spice blends are developed, roasted, mixed, and ground in Rothenhausen in Thurgau. Freshness is also key for spices: we buy herbs and spices in small quantities, so that the storage period does not exceed four months. Once we receive the goods, we check their quality and taste, after which they are carefully stored.

Whether individual spices or blends, we only use basic spices of the highest quality and purity.

Love of perfection and flawless mixing results

The first step is to select the spices. For example, cinnamon blossoms, long pepper, and mace may deviate from our quality standards – if this is the case, they are picked out. Then we mix the spices and grind them in different mills to different degrees of fineness. The result of this careful process is that the exceptionally intense aromas and numerous essential oils are preserved as long as possible.

To achieve perfect mixing results, we use a specially made mixing device with a stainless steel drum. After grinding, all blends are homogenised again in this mixer

Authentic and imaginative spice blends

GURINDER'S spice blends are authentic and stand for imaginative and individual cuisine. They are an invitation to all amateur cooks, connoisseurs, and chefs to leave the beaten path and discover new flavours.

No artificial additives

Our spice blends consist entirely of natural ingredients, and we do not use any separating agents, anti-caking agents, flavour enhancers (glutamate), yeast extracts, flavourings, colourings, preservatives, or similar additives.
Since we do not use any separating agents or anti-caking agents, slight clumping may occur. So please shake the spice blends before each use.

One ingredient, two kinds of flavour

For certain spices such as fennel, coriander, fenugreek, and cumin, roasting is very important. Heating releases the essential oils, so the ingredients combine better with each other. In this process, the spices release their full aroma and their taste fundamentally changes. In India, roasting the spices is an integral part of every cooking process.

Unlock the full aroma of the spices by taking time to carefully and slowly roast them on medium heat at the most. Make sure that the spices do not burn.

We believe that good can only come from good.

That's why we choose our raw ingredients with great care.
