The Darjeeling region in north-eastern India is a magical place - nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. The characteristic Darjeeling First Flush is one of the most sought-after teas in the world. It is picked on the steep slopes of the traditional tea gardens.

Darjeeling tea is a gentle and exceptionally aromatic, flowery leaf tea. It is made from two tender leaves and a bud. The extremely fresh leaves have a wonderfully delicate and rich aroma. The infusion has a golden yellow colour and smells pleasantly fresh.

The bright yellow flowers of the honeybush are gladly swarmed by bees, the lovely floral aroma of the tea is reminiscent of sweet honey. Honeybushes bloom mainly in the flora of the South African provinces of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, which is why honeybush tea is also known as Cape tea.
